Announcement

Topical issue on optical particle characterization and remote sensing of the atmosphere: Part I

Dear Mrs. Pecheroga,
communications.elsevier.com/r/?id=t53c7cbb,2dd635b,2dd89ab Journal of Quantitative Spectroscopy and Radiative Transfer (JQSRT) is very proud to announce part one of the Topical Issue on optical particle characterization and remote sensing of the atmosphere.

Contributions to communications.elsevier.com/r/?id=t53c7cbb,2dd635b,2dd89ac this issue mostly derive from two meetings which took place in late 2013: The Optical Characterization of Atmospheric Aerosols (OCAA) in Smolenice, Slovakia, and the 3rd International Symposium on Atmospheric Light Scattering and Remote Sensing (ISALSaRS) in Nagoya, Japan.

Within this first issue we analyze different aspects of the problem of atmospheric characterization and present a broad overview of the topical area. Research includes theory and experiment, ranging from fundamental microphysical properties of individual aerosol particles to broad characterizations of atmospheric properties. Since this is an active field, we also have encouraged the submission of ideas for new methodologies that may represent the future of the field.

The issue is now communications.elsevier.com/r/?id=t53c7cbb,2dd635b,2dd89ad freely available on ScienceDirect until December 31st, 2014

Yours Sincerely,

Guest Editors
