First announcement

The 6th Orlov conference "The study of the Earth as a planet by methods of geophysics, geodesy and astronomy"
will take place on June 22-24, 2009 at the Main Astronomical Observatory of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (MAO NASU), Kiev, Ukraine.

The Conference is organized by the Main Astronomical Observatory of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and
Ukrainian Astronomical Association.

The Conference is devoted to the 100th anniversary of E.P. Fedorov.

It is well respected as important event for the international co-operation in the fields of astronomy and geodesy.

The Conference topics:

  1. Fundamental constants and reference systems in astronomy and geodesy.
  2. Earth rotation and geodynamical processes.
  3. Gravitational fields of the Earth, Moon and Planets.
  4. New trends in geodynamical researches.

Agenda

The Conference agenda will include lectures of invited speakers, oral contributions and posters.
A preliminary programme and further information about the Conference will be given later.

Language

The Conference language will be English.

Publications

It is planned to publish the Abstracts Book and also the full-size version of presentations.

Accommodation will be available.
