Hardware

The SLR station Lviv consists of the following basic technical systems presented in the general block-scheme:

  • telescope,
  • laser,
  • system for shaping "Start" signal,
  • system for shaping "Stop" signal,
  • guide system,
  • time and frequency service,
  • data collection and analysis system.

SLR station Lviv has the following technical characteristics:

expected overall accuracy of the system Δ 2 cm
operating staff 2 persons

range of operation 800 - 9000 km
observed scale 20o - 85o
maximum angular rate in azimuth and zenith     2 deg/sec
accuracy of tracking 100 arcmin

The SLR station Lviv is equipped with the telescope TPL-M which has the following characteristics:

The laser SL-212 is characterized by:

The system for shaping "Start" signal consists of two blocks:

avalange photodiode LF-2
start discriminator type ORTEC-935

The system for shaping "Stop" signal consists of three blocks:

photomultiplifier FEU-136
pulse amplifier VT-120
stop discriminator type ORTEC-935

Time and frequency service has the following blocks:

rubudium standard
fitting to the UT by means of GPS system 1 mks
events timer
time resolution 40 ps
