Location

The permanent GPS station SULP was founded on 10 June 2001 by the Research Institute of Geodesy and Cartography, Kiev, Ukraine and by the Lviv Polytechnic National University (NULP), Lviv, Ukraine. The station is located at the Astronomical Observatory of the NULP and is serviced by it.

The station is equipped with the Trimble 4700 receiver and Zephyr antenna (TRM41249.00)

Regular observations started on 7 October 2001. The results of the GPS observations in compact RINEX format are sent at regular intervals (once per day and once per hour) to the IGS Regional Data Center at the Federal Agency of Cartography and Geodesy (BKG), Frankfurt am Main, Germany and to the EPN Local Data Center at the Space Research Institute (OLG), Graz, Austria.

The GPS station SULP was included to the Ukrainian permanent GPS network in 2001. This one has been a member of the International GNSS Service (IGS) since 16 October 2001. The GPS station SULP has been a mamber of the European Permanent GPS Network (EPN)since 21 October 2001 (GPSweek No 1137).
