Permanent GPS station EVPA
Location The permanent GPS station EVPA was founded on 3 May 1998 by the Main Astronomical Observatory of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (MAO NASU), Kiev, Ukraine. It is located on National Centre of Space Devices Control and Test, Evpatoria, Crimea, Ukraine. Bottom of preamplifier of the choke ring antenna installed at the top of the concreted steel pillar. The station is equipped with the Trimble 4000SSi receiver and choke ring antenna (TRM29659.00). Regular observations started on 26 November 2002. The results of the GPS observations are sent at regular intervals (once per day) in internal binary format to the Operational Center of the MAO NASU. Then (after transformation to the compact RINEX format) the results are sent to the IGS Regional Data Center at the Federal Agency of Cartography and Geodesy (BKG), Frankfurt am Main, Germany and to the EPN Local Data Center at the Space Research Institute (OLG), Graz, Austria. In 2002, the GPS station EVPA was included to the Ukrainian permanent GPS network. The station has been a member of the European Permanent GPS Network (EPN) since 2005.
