Permanent GPS station CNIV
Location The permanent GPS station CNIV was founded on 17 May, 2005 by the Main Astronomical Observatory of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (MAO NASU), Kiev, Ukraine, supported by Chernihiv State Institute of Economics and Management, Chernihiv, Ukraine. The antenna is placed on top of the still pillar mounted on the roof of the Chernihiv State Institute of Economics and Management office. The station is equipped with the Trimble 4000SSI receiver and Choke Ring antenna (TRM29659.00) The regular observations started on 17 May 2005. The results of the GPS observations are sent at regular intervals (once per day and once per hour) in internal binary format to the Operational Center of the MAO NASU. Then (after transformation to the compact RINEX format) the results are sent to the IGS Regional Data Center at the Federal Agency of Cartography and Geodesy (BKG), Frankfurt am Main, Germany and to the EPN Local Data Center at the Space Research Institute (OLG), Graz, Austria. In 2005, the GPS station CNIV was included to the Ukrainian permanent GPS network. Also, station CNIV was included to European Permanent GPS Network (EPN) in 2006.
